Pastor Frank Hampton Jr.

Pastor Frank Hampton Jr. began his pastorate of the Church of God in Jackson, Michigan in 1963. Beginning with just a handful of saints meeting at a small church building on High St. on the southside of Jackson. Pastor Hampton commuted from his home in southwestern Detroit during this time.
The hand of God was evident early on in his pastorate with the congregation quickly growing spiritually and numerically. Because of the demand Pastor Hampton soon relocated his family from South Western Detroit to Jackson.
Because of continuous growth, in 1972 the church purchased a new larger building on South Street. Pastor Hampton‘s reputation throughout the Jackson community began to expand broadly because of the rapid growth of the church and his strong stand on Bible holiness, modesty, divine healing, and freedom from the world.
In 1980 because of continuous growth a major addition had to be put on the church. It was during this time that Pastor Hampton‘s ministry began to reach new levels with many signs, wonders, and miracles taking place.
Because of the manifest anointing on his ministry Pastor Hampton was frequently sought after for revivals, counsel, and prayer for healing throughout the United States and the world.
Pastor Hampton was tremendously supported in his ministry by his loving wife Sis. Beatrice Hampton who blessed him with 11 wonderful children and labored by his side every step of the way. After her passing in 2008, Pastor Hampton was joined in holy matrimony with Sis. Margaret Robinson in 2010 who wonderfully supported his ministry as well.
Pastor Hampton was deeply committed to finishing his ministry as strongly as he began it and on June 22, 2018 three weeks after preaching his final sermon Pastor Hampton rode off on the whitehorse and finished his ministry with the testimony of the Apostle Paul “I have fought a good fight I kept the faith I finished my course”.
